We hope you enjoy browsing our website and by doing so, you can get a feel for the City of Mahnomen and what we have to offer not only to citizens of Mahnomen, but to the many tourists that come to our community.

Mahnomen ("Wild Rice" the Chippewa name), population of about 1200, is located on the White Earth Reservation in the County of Mahnomen, the Northwest Region of Minnesota. 

The city serves not only as the seat of Mahnomen County, but also as a trade, health, education, recreation and tourism center for those living within a 40-mile radius. 

We want everyone who looks at this site to know that you are welcome in our community as a tourist or maybe even a future resident.
